Sure to create a frenzy, Yves Saint Laurent will be handing out limited edition cotton tote bags, designed by Stefano Pilati, to the first 5,000 passers-by in New York, London, Milan, Tokyo and Hong Kong on September 6th. The promotion is to highlight Pilati’s third “Manifesto” photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, which features Naomi Campbell (you have seen the ads in every major fashion magazine lately) in the Fall/Winter 2008-2009 collection. Over half a million copies of the Manifesto will be distributed along with the totes.
