Are you a CA resident? Score a FREE $20 just for signing up to ohmconnect (Free service to sign up that PAYS you). No Credit Card required. Ohmconnect helps to monitor your electricity usage. They will alert you to run off used devices (not all devices) for 30-60 mins and you can make $100-$300 per year! You can save energy, help the environment, and make extra money. So cool!
Here’s What To Do:
- Click here to create new account
- Enter your email. Click Signup button
- Follow the steps to create a new account. Link your electricity account. Currently it works with PG&E, SCE and SDG&E.
- $20 in points will be loaded into your account which you can cash out via paypal or Venmo. To cash out for the first time, either participate in OhmHours (where you can make money) or refer a friend.
How this works is that Ohmconnect connects and monitors real-time conditions on the electricity grid. When too much energy is being used dirty power plants are turned on. It knows when energy is being used from dirty and unsustainable power plants and we receive a text message or email to save energy.
By choosing to save energy at that time, the state does not have to turn on additional power plants that is bad for the environment, and California’s electricity market (energy authorities) pays for this.
Plus, once you create the account, you can share your unique link with friends, neighbors and family, you and your friend each makes $20. Which you can cash out via paypal or venmo.
Hi I signed up so when can I get the $20? Do I have to refer a friend first?
Hey Regina. You should see the $20 loaded to your account as long as you followed all the steps in the post. No need to make referrals first. 🙂
Having some difficulty… Ive entered all info but it pops up with an alert saying “Incorrect Utility Credentials” than does another pop up saying if I need help to check if password or username is correct? But all info is correct. Just confused I guess… any thoughts?
Hi Colleen. I’m not sure why it would do that. Maybe try switching browsers and see if that will take care of the problem. 🙂
How long does it take to load the cash into your profile?
Hi Joel. It should show up shortly after you sign up. Hope that helps. 🙂
