(Sale ends 1/3/15) Check your coupon binders and see if you have the $1.00 off one Sharpie product coupon from SmartSource 12/7 insert (expiring 2/1/15)! If you do, you can score a Freebie at Office Depot/Office Max, where they have the 5-pack of Sharpie Fine Permanent Markers on sale for $1.00 this week! Limit 2 per household.
My office max wouldn’t sell them to me because they can’t accept a coupon on a sale item. I checked the coupon policy and it doesn’t say anything about that, so I might try again.
Yeah, some stores like to make up their own rules. Sometimes if you challenge the manager (nicely) and ask to see where it states that on the policy (and pull up the policy from your phone), they will allow you. Unfortunately, not all store managers are nice. Good luck Jae!
this was apparently a typo. I went to the store and they said the sharpie costs $4.99. Dang!
Really? It’s on their ad (online and in-stores). Unless they publicly issue a mis-print, they can’t advertise a price and not give it to you. In some states (Like CA) that’s against the law. Check the ads in stores, if they don’t have a sign that says “misprint” ask to have it at the advertised price. 🙂
Thanks Tina! They rang it up actually and it came up as $4.99 and they refused to sell me at the advertised price. I will go to another store tomorrow and check it out.
Update: I contacted Office Depot chat before heading out and their reply was that they would give me a Onetime courtesy $1 offer. And that they were not aware of any misprints. I refused the offer since its not really about the product, its mostly about their false advertising. Apparently this happens a lot at Office Depot. They have escalated this to management. Sigh…all for a pack of pens!
