The last time I used this coupon at Target I found out they changed their price to $4.59.
Hey Debra. Unfortunately they have been adjusting the coupons lately. I’m hoping it’s a temporary change. 🙂
Hello Tina, I would like to start off by saying I love your videos. They are straight forward and makes couponing a breeze. But today I came into a problem at target for the free bic pens\pencils. I had 4 coupons and four packs of the .99 bic pencils. My cashier would not take the coupons because the coupon was for 1.00 off and pencils were .99. She explain that the coupon can not exceed the product. I showed her target coupon policy that it saids if the item is less then the coupon then it will be adjusted to match the item because there can’t not be an overage. Well long story stort the manager came overand said the same and also sayi g they can refuse any coupon as well. I’m thinking when companies decided to include in their coupon policy that “they have the right to refuse any coupon I’m pretty sure they were thinking about coupons that may seem fraudulent, can’t scan , or anything that seems questionably about the coupon. But is a customer to do when the store don’t apply by their own policy and just being ignorant to the fact and then says we can also refuse any coupon. Please help me cause as a customer I starting not like shop with coupons cause the cashier already giving you profiling you as if you are trying to “steal” and I know that its people out there that don’t do what’s right. But as for me and other customers that are doing the right thing with couponing its really hurt my feels. And I’m really are tried of going though the same situations at different stores. It shouldn’t make a difference who the cashier or manager is that’s on duty for a customer transaction to go according to policy. Vs another manager on duty that just feels like taking the corporate policy into his or her own stants. And can just say we also can refuse except any coupon. If there’s a coupon regulation oversight. Please share because what’s the point of a policy when any employee can JUST REFUSE TO USE IT. Thank you so much
Hey. I’m so sorry to hear that you had to go through that. When something like this happens to me I will usually contact their corporate office. They are really good about settling matters where customers feel unfairly treated. Is there another Target in your area that you could go to?
i had this happen to me with the $4 off dog chow natureals a couple months ago. i contacted corporate. the first rep said they had a right to refuse. i replied that i will never shop there again. this reply was recieved by a second rep who sent me a $10 target gift card and apologized for my experience, and that corporate guidelines advise them to adjust the coupon value down so that it can be accepted. i’m still mad at my experience, but i got $10 back, and so i feel ok about it. plus corporate said they were going to contact that store for coaching. so that they will be following guidelines, so i recommend it, so that the store can start doing it right in the future.
Hi Jennifer. Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m sure this will be very helpful to many others. 🙂

Hi Anusha. Unfortunately the Tide and Gain coupons are both no longer available for printing. 🙁 The Bic coupon came in the Smart Source coupon insert that came with the July 24th Sunday paper. If you don’t have it, you can order them online. Check out extreme-coupon-clipping.com or klip2save.com. 🙂
