Through 12/23 or while supplies last, hurry over to Office Depot/Office Max where you can score Duracell Coppertop Alkaline Batteries (16-Pack) for FREE if you’re part of their Rewards Program (FREE to join)! This deal is valid both online and in stores! Plus, you will also be able to snag Boise Copy Paper Ream for only $0.01 (Reg $6)! Check out the breakdowns for both deals:
NOTE: For the battery deal, it is a 100% Back reward deal. As such (with all 100% Back deals), do not use reward points to pay. If you do pay using rewards, you may not earn any rewards back. It’s fine on penny deals like the paper deal below to use rewards to pay.
► Buy (1) Duracell Alkaline AA or AAA Batteries (16-Pack) = $15.99
Pay: $15.99
Get Back: $15.99 Bonus Rewards (limit 2)
Final Price: FREE
► Buy (1) Boise X-9 Multi-Use Copy Paper Ream = $6.00
Pay: $6.00
Get Back: $5.99 Bonus Rewards (limit 3)
Final Price: $0.01
I ordered these on 12/23 and I can’t make heads or tails out of these rewards! I bought the batteries ($15.99) and two reams of paper ($6 each). I used my $14.98 in rewards because I didn’t know the rule about the 100% rewards thing until just now, and also used a 15% off highest priced item (the batteries). I only got $10.14 in rewards. I texted customer service and he gave me the rest of the rewards as a one-time courtesy (otherwise would’ve returned them), but I still want to know what happened. Shouldn’t I have at least gotten $11.98 for the paper? Thoughts?
Hi Rebecca! I believe because the coupon and rewards were used during the transaction. It’s awesome that they took care of you the way they did.
When I buy anything that gets rewards back I make sure not to use any store coupons or rewards in that transaction. I hope this helps!
WIll this work if we use the 20% off coupon?
Hi Monica! You can use the coupon. But your reward will come back 20% less as well. It’s up to you. Just means less out of pocket.
Hey Tina, I remember a while ago, Office Depot had this same deal for free batteries, they also had a 50% off battery promo code, so If I used the promo code and paid with my money, would I have still gotten the rewards certificate? Just wondering for future purchases!
The reward would get adjusted in that case down to what you’ve paid. I usually avoid using coupons of any kind on reward deals at Office Depot. It gets really funky! lol. Hope that helps Anna!
Hi Tina! So when you say limit 2 does it mean limit 2 in the same transaction? Sorry i never done deals like this.
Limit 2 meaning you can buy at most 2 within the week and still earn rewards. It doesn’t matter if you buy the two together or separate or on different days.
Can you do the battery deal every day or once for the week? All the other deals say limit is per week but the battery deal just say limit 2 (no time frame). Thanks!
The limit is 2 for the whole week. The week starts on Sunday (Today) and ends Saturday. So you can buy 2, and if the deal is back next week you can buy 2 more. Hope that helps Linnea!
I didn’t get my points for this weeks battery purchase. The cashier told me that they were not on sale this week but I still got it. I didn’t get my rewards…
Hi Lee! The batteries are on 100% reward back promotion this week. You can see this promotion listed on OfficeDepot.com (the 16 count batteries):
https://www.officedepot.com/cm/rewards/exclusive-savings
HOWEVER, what makes this different than the penny battery deals in the past is that this is a 100% reward instead of getting $15.98 to get them for a penny. With 100% reward deals, you don’t want to use rewards to pay, if you do, you may not receive any rewards back. Whereas with penny deals, even if you use rewards to pay, you will still receive the full rewards back.
The good thing is you can return them. Even if you paid using rewards, the amount of rewards will go on a gift card.
If you didn’t use rewards to pay, then contact Office Depot rewards, and they will issue you the rewards on to your account.
Hope that helps! 🙂
Thanks Tina. I did call them earlier and as a curtesy they did issue me a $15.99 reward. I’ve never done the % deal so I wasn’t aware of this kinda reward. I’m gonna call again tomorrow to see if they will issue me one for my husbands card, if not I will return it.
Hi Lee! Glad you were able to get the $15.99 rewards issued. Hopefully they will do the same for your husband’s card!
