The last time I tried to get a low cost implement (I believe it was a package of emery boards priced at 4.19) with an identical coupon, the computer rejected it and I was unable to complete the purchase. Let’s hope there’s better luck with this one, but I’m not particularly optimistic. Has anyone managed to do this?
Hey Tom, try doing this deal when you are purchasing additional items. Per CVS’s coupon policy, they can accept coupons that are more than the value of the item, they will just adjust the value of the coupon so no overage is applied. They also have the right to refuse any coupon. If the store won’t let you use it on a product that is lower than $4, maybe try to find something just a little over $4. Will still make for a great deal!
At the time I attempted that deal, I had plenty of cosmetics overage via a Physicians Formula purchase to absorb any potential problems, and the Revlon item was higher in price than the coupon. I simply can’t explain it, but the cashier was unwilling to push it through. I just hope this one is not a beeper like the last one, as I could use the tools more than the makeup.
Hey Tom, you’d think that because this is a CVS coupon, they wouldn’t have any trouble accepting it. I might be tempted to ask the manager or call someone higher up the ladder.
