Hi Tina … 1st, Thank You, Thank You for everything that you do to make our lives a little easier hun … 2nd, just wanted you to be aware of the reply to Barbara in this posting, as it may help you and others out their to give the store a little friendly push in the direction of accepting coupons that they are not sure how to handle….

sometimes its just a matter of the lack of knowledge to enter it correctly…i was an assistant manager for many years at a retail store and when this coupon craze really started taking off i had to become a bit more strict with coupons….i had asked my cashiers to call me to the front if they were unsure, but when i wasn’t there then they just didn’t ask whomever the other manager would be on duty, at that time….so, they would just say that they could not accept it…..
with that being said, if you are a regular shopper at this store, i would just call their corporate office and ask them how it should be handled in the future because you would like to be able to use your coupons at their stores, but unfortunately the cashier on duty was not sure how to enter this…..
ask them if it is a single item purchase, how to make the transaction free, as well as, if it is with multiple items, does the entire $2 goes towards the entire transaction or only the $1 that makes your single item free
i know this is not our job to be aware of how to handle the transaction, however, sometimes it is the only way to use our coupons
just be polite to the cashier, manager and explain the corporate call 🙂
