Hi diane from Bloomington Mn. Would literally drive over rivers and through the woods to grandma’s house for big turkey dinner. She always felt it was never enough food and there always was enough leftovers for everyone.
My favorite Thanksgiving memory was mine and my sisters first time cooking Thanksgiving dinner. She forgot to defrost the Turkey ahead of time, so we had to throw it in the tub in hot water and hope it defrosted ( it did).. We had such a great time trying to cook .
My Absolute favorite Thanksgiving memory isnt really an event but a feeling. I look back at all those Thanksgivings I’ve had with my family and I immediately remember the joy, happiness, laughter and love that was shared that day. Being in company of my family is the best! My favorite family memory is when my older daughter was in 1rst grade and her class made a book about what they were all Hankful for along with a Poem the teacher picked out as the introduction. My daughter was so excited to wear the headdress they made in class to dress like an Indian and read the pages to my family as we ate desert that day… my family loved it.
My favorite thanksgiving memory was when my brothers and I would smell the turkey being cooked, what seemed ALL day lol and when dinner time FINALLY came, it was the BEST feeling ever!! We would all sit down, give thanks ♥️ And we’re united together. Unfortunately, this is our 4th year having thanksgiving without my brother who passed away ⚓️ But he’s Always in our hearts.
