I hope you find yourself well. I purchased this. Followed your steps all the way trough. I was given a lower price because I paid with my debit card. When I checked out everything looked great. Total charges and all.
Then 28 minutes later I get an email and the price I was charged was double!! I logged back on and to my surprise all the prices had changed, my invoice had changed and the promo code was no longer “active” even after I entered my zip code and registered and had been told I would be billed 28.xx. I called them and they told me since I was 3 minutes late to their 30 minute cancelation clause, and they bill on real time. I was liable. I am extremely disappointed and at a loss of 59.xx
Oh wow!! That is extremely uncool of them! Are you sure that on your final checkout screen at the time of purchase was the lowered price? If so, what they are doing is not legal. They cannot charge you a higher rate on your card than what you were shown at checkout.
What I would do in this case is call your card company to issue a charge back. I’m not sure if you can do this with debit card. Since when buying with debit card you are using the visa/mastercard feature? For this reason, I highly recommend always using a credit card, since with credit cards you can easily issue charge backs in situations like this where you were wrongly charged.
